Our long-range goals are:

a) To offer a theoretical framework to explain why women oppress other women.

b) To increase awareness in girls and women about the ways in which the media exploits female relationships.

c) To change the way the media portrays female-to-female relationships.

d) To teach viewers how to feel empowered so that they do not have to be victims of the stereotypical images that the media perpetuates.

e) To teach viewers how to better understand the ramifications of watching and internalizing the messages that the media broadcasts.

f) To aid in launching several media literacy programs in schools.
